About the Webinar

How do HR careers develop, and which paths are HR professionals likely to explore to advance their ambitions? This talk dives into the current reality of HR careers, drawing from a global study of more than 3 million HR profiles, surveys with 350 HR professionals, and in-depth career stories of 10 senior HR leaders to explore the following questions:

 1. How and why do people choose a career in HR?
 2. How are HR careers changing, and what are the five patterns we see?
 3. How can you manage your own HR career?
 4. What skills underpin a future-proof HR career in the age of GenAI?

The presentation shares practical insights that HR individuals can apply to navigate their careers, as well as guidance for HR leaders responsible for building sustainable HR skills and teams within their organization.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Motivations for HR Careers - Identify why individuals choose careers in HR.
  2. Trends in HR Careers - Recognize the five emerging patterns in HR career evolution.
  3. Managing HR Careers - Learn strategies for personal career management in HR.
  4. Skills for Future-Proof HR Careers - Identify key skills needed for HR careers in the age of GenAI

Who should attend:
92% of HR professionals do not start their careers in HR - we come from a diversity of fields such as education, social sciences, and administrative services. Even though this brings diversity, it also means that HR careers have a tendency to be unstructured and, for many, leads to higher levels of dissatisfaction - in fact only 43% of HR professionals state that they are satisfied or moderately satisfied with their career. So how can we fix this? The first step is to make HR professionals aware of the massive amount of opportunities in HR, and more importantly, how to build the skills that make you ready for new roles and positions. This webinar is designed to share practical insights that HR professionals can apply to navigate their careers, as well as guidance for HR leaders responsible for building sustainable HR skills and teams within their organization.
