Mentorship Program

CPHR Saskatchewan’s Mentorship Program provides the framework for members to be matched with other members for the purpose of building professional relationships in a meaningful and supportive way. These relationships enable program participants to exchange knowledge, develop skills and competencies, share experiences, share resources and build a community of thought partners.  Whether you are new to the field of HR or a senior practitioner, the program can support you to expand, refine and build new skills.

The CPHR Saskatchewan Mentorship Program is not a job search program but rather a program supporting active learning and networking.

This member-only program runs annually from January to December.

Who Can Participate:

Current members of CPHR Saskatchewan, in good standing, who work or are pursuing a career in HR in Saskatchewan are eligible to apply.  There is no fee to participate as a Mentor or Protégé.

Time Commitment:

The CPHR Saskatchewan Mentorship Program runs annually from January to December. One or two events (in-person or virtual) will be organized to celebrate the valuable relationship between Mentor and Protégé.  These events allow all participants to socialize and network as one community.

Mentors and Protégés are required to:

  • Commit to at least 1-2 hours per month of interaction with a mentoring partner during the program (face-to-face, phone, email, Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, etc.);
  • Sign a Mentoring Agreement with a mentoring partner confirming commitment to the program, frequency/methods of communication and confidentiality.
  • Renew CPHR Saskatchewan memberships to remain active in the program;
  • Complete a survey at the end of the program to provide valuable feedback for the future of the program.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hours

Professional Members (CPHRs) - as a participant in the Mentorship Program, you are eligible to claim up to 10.0 CPD hours.

It is important to maintain a Mentoring Record for submission and verification, as required, for eligibility of CPD hours. It is the participant's responsibility to maintain these records.

Complete the Mentoring Agreement and Mentoring Record.
