Costs to Obtain the CPHR Designation |
1) Membership with CPHR Saskatchewan To begin the process to obtain the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, you must register as an Associate Member, and maintain active membership with CPHR Saskatchewan. Annual Membership Dues
2) Education Transcripts must be mailed or emailed directly from your educational institution or through MyCreds. Education from outside Canada needs to be evaluated by the World Education Services (WES) or International Qualifications Assessment Service(IQAS) and sent directly to CPHR Saskatchewan. Please review the Coursework Requirement and Pathways to the Designation. If your education is not focused in HR, you must complete the coursework requirement prior to being eligible to register for the NKE. Course fees are dependent upon which post-secondary institute they are taken through.
3) Knowledge To prove you have the knowledge required to become a CPHR, you must register for and pass the National Knowledge Exam ® (NKE), or apply for an NKE Waiver. NKE Prep Courses (optional) are available to writers to effectively write the NKE. Once you pass the NKE, or have an approved NKE Waiver, you become a CPHR Candidate and can represent yourself as such. Your membership category would change from that of an Associate Member to a CPHR Candidate Member. Fees
4) Validation of Experience (VOE) Assessment The final step to achieving the CPHR designation is the Validation of Experience (VOE) assessment. CPHR Candidates have 10 years to successfully complete the VOE process from the date you become a CPHR Candidate. Fees
5) Maintaining the CPHR designation CPHRs and CPHR Candidates are required to be members in good standing by renewing and paying membership dues on an annual basis. CPHRs and CPHR Candidates who have not renewed and paid for their membership dues by July 31st will not be members in good standing as per Regulatory Bylaw 3.6.1, which may result in revocation of the CPHR designation or CPHR Candidate status. |
