Negotiations with Indigenous communities begin with understanding. These communities want to know that any team deployed to engage in negotiations with them have taken the time to learn and know the community. The knowledge acquired by this research can provide a strategic advantage when engaging with communities directly because possible hard lines that the community will be unwilling to bend on. Teams that can anticipate these areas will be able to come to the table with creative solutions that will mee the specific needs of the individual community. Indigenous Communities are looking to engage active partners who are actively listen to their concerns and are prepared to meet their specific needs
