PROGRAM SUMMARY
Canada's national day of remembrance was originally proposed by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission as Call to Action #80 which "called upon the federal government, in collaboration with Aboriginal peoples, to establish, as a statutory holiday, a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour Survivors, their families, and communities, and ensure that public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools remains a vital component of the reconciliation process.” Across the country employers and people marked the day in different ways which were meaningful, thoughtful, emotional, and poignant.
This webinar will explore Reconciliation through the lens of: Recognition, Respect and Relationships.
