With great pride and heartfelt gratitude, we announce a significant milestone in CPHR Saskatchewan’s journey - May 25, 2025, marks the association’s 20th Anniversary!
Over the past two decades, CPHR Saskatchewan has been committed to supporting members in upholding the highest standards of knowledge, proficiency, competence, and ethical conduct within the human resources profession in Saskatchewan. This anniversary is a testament to our unwavering dedication to empowering HR professionals to create workplaces that inspire innovation, foster engagement, and drive success, building a vibrant and flourishing HR community in Saskatchewan.
As I approach my one-year anniversary as CEO / Registrar with CPHR Saskatchewan, I’m filled with gratitude for what has been a meaningful and transformative personal journey. This past year has been one of deep learning—about our work, our impact, and most importantly, about the people who make this organization so special. Building relationships and truly connecting with our members has been a priority for me, and those conversations have helped shape my understanding of both the opportunities we have and the challenges we share. I’ve appreciated the openness, trust, and insights from everyone I've had the chance to meet, and I’m proud of the progress we've made together. As we look ahead, I’m energized by what we’ve accomplished and excited about what’s possible as we continue to move forward—together.
Our 2025-2026 membership year will continue to focus on the three main pillars of our strategic plan: Regulatory Accountability & Governance, Professional Standards, and Brand & Stakeholder Relations. It remains our responsibility to protect the public and ensure competent ethical HR practice in the province. We continue to work with CPHR Canada to continue to evolve the designation standards and increase the visibility of the profession and designation, both nationally and internationally. As we continue to elevate the HR profession in the province, we’re focusing on a new marketing strategy that will bring more members to the association and increase the brand recognition of CPHR Saskatchewan and the designation in the province. Thank You to Our HR Community To our valued members – thank you for your passion and commitment to advancing the HR profession, which has shaped our success and strengthened our community. Your commitment to fostering positive work environments, supporting teams, and navigating the complexities of the modern workplace is truly invaluable. The association continues to see growth from year to year in our membership, with 65% of members holding the CPHR designation or working towards it.

To our many volunteers who fulfill a variety of roles and commitments to the entire membership base – thank you. Each volunteer enhances the overall experience for everyone who belongs to the association. This sense of community is the driving force behind the activities CPHR Saskatchewan commits to each year, and it couldn’t be done without your help.
To the CPHR Saskatchewan Board of Directors – past, present, and future. To our past board members, thank you for your vision and dedication that laid the foundation for the success we enjoy today. To our current board members, thank you for your hard work, strategic guidance, and unwavering support that continues to drive us toward excellence. To our future board members, we eagerly anticipate your leadership and fresh perspectives. Your commitment will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter of our journey, ensuring continued success and growth. It is because of your passion and leadership that we continue to thrive and make a meaningful impact on the HR profession in Saskatchewan.
To the CPHR Saskatchewan staff - thank you Leanne, Holly, Amanpreet, and Rahul for your hard work and dedication to the association. And we’ll be adding more horsepower to our team with the hiring of an Executive Coordinator this summer!
I’m incredibly excited for the work ahead in the coming year as we celebrate this milestone and continue to lead the way in HR excellence in Saskatchewan.
Here’s to 20 years of growth, leadership, and impact—made possible by all of you.
