Professional Obligation

Being part of a self-regulated profession also means taking on certain professional obligations, such as abiding by the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Saskatchewan Act, 2021, the By-laws, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. It is your willingness to take on those obligations that elevate the HR profession to the same level as that of other self-regulated professions, such as lawyers and accountants. Please take a moment to review this information prior to joining.

Good Character Attestation

CPHR Saskatchewan will be instituting a Good Character Attestation for new applicants and existing members starting May 1, 2024. This is part of CPHR Saskatchewan’s mandate as the regulator to serve and protect the public; to ensure that its members are competent, are held to professional standards, and are suitable to practice human resources.

CPHR Saskatchewan’s Good Character Attestation will consist of nine (9) questions to verify the character of current members and new applicants. Members will be required to answer questions annually on items such as criminal convictions and prior professional regulatory concerns. For more information including the questions, please review the Good Character Attestation Handbook
