Support Self-Regulation
Share |

Self-regulation is an important step for the Human Resources profession in Saskatchewan. We have worked hard on this strategic initiative, and we are asking for your support to assist the association in making our case. The association wants to educate our leaders on the importance of good HR practices, and why self-regulation is the key to ensuring a high-quality HR profession in our province.

Our path to self-regulation so far
Our goal is to gain support for the introduction of a bill to the Legislative Assembly in 2018. In Canada, professional self-regulation is a matter of provincial jurisdiction. In 2013, CPHR Saskatchewan began its pursuit to become a self-regulated profession and our formal application was made to the Saskatchewan Government in April 2014.

Members build momentum in Fall 2017
Recently, we launched a campaign entitled “Moving Business Forward” targeted at Government officials and MLAs that asks legislators across the province to support an Act for the HR Profession. We have presented a thorough and detailed submission to the government and we have the support of the business community which you will see during this campaign.

We are asking that members of CPHR Saskatchewan help out by mailing their local MLAs. Please download our letter template, customize it with your name and constituency information, and mail or email it to your MLA.
