Mentoring Program

CPHR Saskatchewan’s Professional Mentoring Program provides the framework for members to be matched, according to specific needs and goals, with other members for the purpose of enhancing professional development in a meaningful and supportive way. These relationships enable the program participants and business leaders to exchange knowledge and experience relating to skills, culture and values.  Whether you are a newcomer to the field of HR or a senior practitioner, the program can support you to expand, refine and build new skills. This member-only program runs annually from October to May.

Who Can Participate:

Current members of CPHR Saskatchewan in good standing who work or pursuing a career in HR in Saskatchewan are eligible to apply.  The CPHR Saskatchewan Mentoring Program is not a job search program but rather a program supporting active learning.

Time Commitment:

The CPHR Saskatchewan Professional Mentoring Program runs annually from October to May. Two to three events will be organized to celebrate the valuable relationship between Mentor and Protégé.  These events will allow all participants to socialize and network as a whole community.  Mentors and Protégés are expected to:

  • Commit to at least 1-2 hours per month of interaction with their mentoring partner during the program (face to face, phone, email, FaceTime, etc.);
  • Create a written learning and development plan and track their interaction with each other during the program;
  • Attend a program kick-off where mentors and protégés will receive training and information on program objectives;
  • Complete a survey at the end of the program to provide valuable feedback for the future of the program.

CPHR Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hours

It is important to maintain a Mentoring Log for submission and verification, as required, for eligibility of CPHR CPD Hours. Note: it is the applicant's responsibility to maintain these records.

How to Apply:

The program runs annually from October to May.  Applications will be accepted from June 1 – Sept 30. Notifications regarding mentor/protégé matching will be announced in October.  There is a registration fee of $30 for general protégés and $20 for student protégés.  Mentor registrations are free.

Please log into your account and visit the mentor/protégé pages to access the online application forms and to pay the appropriate fee.

Please note, you must re-apply to the program each year.
