Membership Categories/Fees

Types and Fees


  • All fees and dues are subject to applicable taxes. Please see the attached GST Ruling from Revenue Canada.
  • Membership dues expire on June 30th of each year
  • Memberships purchased after January 1st will be prorated by 50% (excludes student member type)
  • CPHR dues become payable on the date a member is granted their designation and is calculated based on the month in which they receive their designation
  • Memberships are non transferable or refundable

Member Categories

Professional Member

The following may qualify to be professional members of the Corporation:

i. Professional members are individuals who currently hold their Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Designation and/ or Senior Human
Resource Professional Designations (SHRP).
ii. In order to become a Professional Member, the applicant must submit an application and pay all applicable fees, and be in compliance with the recertification/ongoing professional development requirement of CPHR Saskatchewan in order to maintain the CPHR/SHRP designation.

CPHR Candidate Member
Associate Member
The following may qualify to be associate members of the Corporation:

i. Associate members are those individuals who are employed in a primary capacity (50% or more of the time) in a human resources functional area and may be actively engaged in obtaining the CPHR designation.
ii. In order to become an Associate Member, the applicant must submit an application and pay all applicable fees, and confirm they are primarily employed or seeking employment in a human resources functional area.
iii. Individuals interested in pursuing the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation must be members in good standing.

General Member
The following may qualify to be general members of the Corporation:

i.  General members are those who are involved in human resources management in some capacity e.g. line manager or Academic, and who has an interest in the profession.
ii. This category of membership would be for those who do not practice HR in a primary capacity (50% or more of the time).
Student Member
i.  Student membership is open to persons registered in a full- time post-secondary program of studies leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree with specialization in any functional areas of Human Resources Management and who is not employed in a human resources functional area on a full-time basis.

ii.  To be eligible for student membership an individual must be enrolled in three or more post-secondary classes per fall and winter term during the membership year (July 1 - June 30). Proof of student status must be submitted prior to approval. Student members are encouraged to participate in the affairs of the Association.
